The suggestion of Project Runway fusion(s) was apparently only kind of a joke. That is discussed for a while. Which bleeds into discussing Project Runway for a solid chunk of time.

roguemarielLaura and Cora walked out of the theater laughing.
“The best part was totally when that one guy got his head ripped off,” Cora said.
“No way! It was definitely the disembowelment of that one character,” Laura argued.
“Oh my god, Laura,” Cora suddenly stopped, dragging her sister through the people trying to leave to stand against a wall. They crouched behind a trash can, which caused a few odd looks to be directed at them. “Look.”
The two of them peered around the bin to see Derek sitting on a bench, his arm wrapped around the guy who they had met in line. Derek looked to be comforting him as the man sobbed into a napkin.
“...Didn’t they go see a rom-com?” Laura muttered to her sister. Cora shrugged. “Let’s get closer.”
The two of them crept out from behind the trash can to plaster themselves against the wall. They walked slowly towards them, hoping that their brothers’ usual lack of awareness would work in their favor.
“It was so cute!” the guy said. “Did you see? And they were so in love, of course they had to end up together! That other guy was such a jerk to try to get between them! Right?”
Derek nodded, his arm tightening around him. “They ended up together, though. All’s well that ends well. And it did end well, right Stiles?”
“Yeah, but it was still such a shitty thing to do. I mean, yeah, he was the guy she knew from when she was a kid, but fate clearly put James into Mary’s path. Obviously they were meant to be, and Alex should have just accepted it.” Stiles pulled out another napkin, clearly overwhelmed emotionally.
Laura and Cora slowly backed away. It was probably better not to interrupt.
“Let’s just text him,” Laura suggested. She pulled out her phone.
Hey baby bro, you looked pretty busy, so we’re heading home. See if you can get a ride from *Stiles* okay? <3 Don’t worry, we’ll tell Mom all about it so you won’t have to!
Cora rolled her eyes. “You are a terrible person, Laura.”
“Hey! I am the best sister ever, don’t you forget it.”
“But I wanted to tell Mom!”
They glared at each other for a second before bursting into laughter.
“Hey, do you remember where we parked?”

SYNOPSIS: Laura and Cora go out to see a movie together (with Derek; mom insisted they take him for a walk or whatever). They want to see the latest gorey-action-thriller-violent-death-horror film, naturally (but Derek doesn't; these movies freak him out. He's more of a rom-com kind of guy). While standing in line to buy the tickets (Derek's getting the popcorn), they hear some obnoxious asshole (Stiles) in line complaining to his girlfriend or whatever (Scott) that he was being stood up on their date (Scott had a date with Allison) and spouting some male chauvinist bullshit about how men can't watch chick-flicks by themselves (except what he actually wants is someone to hold him through the sad bits and tell him he's beautiful p.s. true love is real). When they start to get an idea of what's actually going on in his conversation, they begin to hatch a plan—he can babysit Derek in the rom-com while Laura and Cora rock it up in the auditorium shoving movies that don't suck (or suck slightly less? Okay, they both suck equally hard, but at least these ones come garnished with explosions, is what we're saying). Everyone'll go home happy.
"Come on, man," Stiles said, hating the whine in his voice but willing to use any tool at his disposal. "You have to come!"
"Sorry, Stiles. You can still go see the movie, though, right?"
"What?!" Stiles screeched. Two young women standing in line nearby gave him a judging look. "I can't go to a chick flick by myself--" The young women's expressions were now full-on scowls. "--who'll hold my hand during the easily-avoidable-yet-heartbreaking misunderstandings? Who'll share in my tears during the romantic kisses of reconciliation? I need you!" The women were now looking amused and thoughtful. Stiles' experience in these matters taught him that this was not an improvement, but he a had a betrayal of the highest order to focus his thoughts right now.
